Six countries with 244 years of success at providing high quality health care at a low cost relative to the United States.
GO HERE to see the results of my recent data analysis of the USA compared to the six countries.
Comparisons: bar chart comparisons of:
the USA performance for its 310 million citizens
compared to the average performance of the other six countries for their total of 370 million citizens.
The Countries. The following countries are superstars when it comes to minimizing deaths under age 75 due to preventable diseases, thus having a low rate of amenable mortality:
Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Italy, and Spain.
those countries are at the top out of a list of 19; the USA is at the bottom.
My very best regards,
Bob the Health and Health Care Advocate
P.S. About the 244 years of experience:
Australia 36 years, Canada 38 years, France 65 years
Japan 49 years , Italy 32 years, and Spain 24 years.

Another success story is Taiwan R.O.C. In the mid-1990s after experiencing three decades of miraculous economic growth, the government looked abroad for the best health insurance system. They were most impressed with the idea behind the Medicare system in the United States and adopted a modified version of it for Taiwan. Within a few years, nearly 100% of the population was insured at a fraction of the cost the United States spends on health care. When the ROC was founded in 1912, the Three Principles of the People were a government of, by, and for the people (sound familiar?) and when its National Health Insurance passed, it was under the aegis of a government for the people. The irony is that these ideas were borrowed from the United States and yet Taiwan has been able to out-Americanize us in both regards.
HERE IS A POST WHERE THE LINK TO THE TAIWAN WEB PAGE WORKS. I WILL TRY TO DELETE THE OTHER POSTS RELATED TO TAIWAN if Blogger allows me to do deletions. -- BOB
Here is some additional information about the Taiwan system.
